PRODUCT Q & A

Are these skates naturally narrow?

Asked by: Anonymous
They do have a tendency to be more on the narrow side, but are not the most. The CCM brand general has a standard fit in to the toe box and gets a little more tight and you move back towards the back of the boot.

Can you heat mold skates in a oven at home? What tempeture and how long?

Asked by: chaser
The CCM U+ Crazy Light skates are heat moldable. This process can be done at home, but is recommended to do in stores. We have specialized ovens made just for baking skates. For home baking, place skates on a cookie sheet or anything so that there isn't direct contact with the interior of the oven. Heat oven to 176 degrees and bake for 3-5 minutes. Once heated, sit down and lace up skates game tight. Stay seated for up to 10 minutes or until the skate is cool. Do not stand while wearing skates as it will affect the molding.

Would you recommend these skates over the bauer one 100s?

Asked by: Anonymous
Both the Bauer One100 skate and the CCM U+ crazy light skate are high-end skates that offer the best protection and comfort in the game. I cannot recommend one of these skates over the other because the both fit differently. I would recommend going to a hockey store to try on both of these skates before making a purchase.

do they have to be heated to mold to my feet?

Asked by: Anonymous
The CCM U+ Crazy Light skates do not have to be heat molded but we strongly recommend doing so. The heat molding will help with the "breaking in" process and make the skate fit closer to your foot.
