RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Regretful Purchase It was very easy to break in these skates, but as with all CCM skates ive used, the durability sucks, to put it lightly. After 3 months of skating with these, the right tendon guard snapped, and now is flails around whenever i skate, 2 weeks later the left one snapped. ive had to replace every eyelet on the skates, the laces lasted until the eyelets broke, and the stitching for the skates is coming out. I wouldnt recommend these skates for anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid skate, especially at current price These skates are definitely a solid purchase, especially at the current price point. They offer a good set of features for any mid level skater or beer leaguer, and are fairly durable to last for seasons. My one knock on them is a little on protection, took a slapper to the heel that hurt like heck and bruised my ankle up good, but it was a pretty good slapshot to be fair, for beer leagues that is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Skate I've been playing on these skates for almost 2 winter seasons. I play 3-5 times per week. I'm heavy and tall @ 6'3" & 220lbs. These skates have taken lots f abuse with no problems. They fit great and feel great. The only issue I've had with them is I've had to replace a dozen or so eyelets. They seem to corrode and split from the inside. I air them out after every use so I'm not sure why they go bad. At any rate, when these wear out I'll buy more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Skate! As an avid CCM skate user, I decided to take a chance on the U+10s. Last season I wore CCM U+Pro and was concerned that these skates were not going to be comparable , but I am happy to say that they have not dissappointed me. The U foam provided a great fit on my foot foot and the skate required almost no break in time. The snug fit has given me the ability to make tighter turns and sharper cut backs. The U+10s offer all the advantages of a higher priced skate, at a fraction of the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From "benders" to pro's This is my 3rd pair of skates, I had a pair of CCM Tacs back in the 90's, a pair of CCM Tacs (used) this past year until I shattered a runner, and I just bought these skates a few weeks ago. Hands down these are the lightest, most comfortable skates I've ever had the pleasure of putting on my feet. I'm still a novice and didn't want to go crazy on the cost seeing as how I'm in my mid thirtys and just getting into the game and have no interest (or chance) in going PRO. I wanted a solid middle of the road skate, something that wouldn't break the bank but something I wouldn't out grow as my skill levels increased. I think this on is a BIG winner. When I went to the Total Hockey in Downers Grove IL the salesman pointed to these as a good option. When I first put them on they felt good with two minor pressure points at the ankel. I keep them on for a bit before the salesman suggested that he bake them for a bit to see if the pressure points went away, they did. I have been on them for a very short time and I haven't even felt like I had to break them in. Out of ALL the gear that I have bought from Total Hockey these skates are by far the best purchase I have made!!! If I find anything changes for the better or worse with these skates I will update you. I would strongly recommend these skates at this point in time.

PRODUCT Q & A

I am currently still in ccm V04 skates and ready for an upgrade. While this skate is certainly better quality, is the fit the same?

Asked by: Anonymous
CCM skates will all have a similar fit. More narrow in the heel and mid foot than that of a Bauer or Reebok skate for example. With the U+10 skate you will experience better quality in the construction along with more comfort with the customizable, heat moldable U foam, the F.I.T footbed and the Duratex liner.

Switching brands

If I have skated in CCM all my life (58 yrs old), would there be a disadvantage to change brand of skates? My skates I use now (2x/week) are Vac-u-tacks. What brand would be better? I have a narrow heel.
Asked by: Anonymous
Switching brands make take a while to get used to and the break in process could be slightly different, but the switch won't be detrimental. If you are looking for a narrow heel in a skate then your best bet would be to stick with CCM. Out of all the manufacturers CCM is known for having a narrow heel.

are these skates an upgrade from the ccm U+pro reloaded skates?

Asked by: Anonymous
I previously wore the U+PRO with rocket runners, and have found these skates to be comparable if not slightly better.
