Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this product! I did a lot of looking at shooting tarps and other options to create a practice area for my daughter. I settled on this solution and took a chance that it was as good as advertised. I was not disappointed. I love the fact that we can move this around (not really that heavy) and that it is a good quality solution. Quality of the netting is great and it has no issue stoping my shot and is very stable. The net install was really simple using the quick connect velcro connectors. Set up of the goal took me no more than 20 mins. Everything fit great and was easy to connect. If you have any tight connections, just taking a pliers and very slightly bending the tubing allows for the connections to slide together easily. I had two connections I had to do this with. The only thing I would suggest for this product is that the netting for the side and top puck stoppers be redesigned to use the quick setup netting they use on the full goal. I see no reason it could not be given a couple design changes. I may cost a bit more but it would make setup even simpler. As others have stated, installing the netting on the puck stoppers was the most time consuming part (about 45 mins) as you use provided netting string to wrap the net to the puck stopper pipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Reasonable Purchase This net is probably the smartest net to buy. Indoors, the backstop will stop the puck from hitting walls, ect. Outdoors the backstop prevents you from losing pucks (as intended) VERY well. The targets helped improve my game, I started to notice progress within days of having it. It is fairly durable, after all, you get what you pay for, but this is money well spent. I'll admit, I was iffy about buying this net at first because of some of the people who were saying the the pipes dented, but I have not seen a single dent taking 55-70 mph shots at it, nothing but marks from the rubber. In the long run, this net will probably get you the most bang for your buck, and I would definitely recommend it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, great value This takes a while to assemble--2-4 hours depending on how particular you are about threading the net. The instructions are OK, not great. The parts are very clearly organized & labeled and the photo on the outside of the box is very helpful in interpreting the instructions. The only issue I had was with fitting some painted parts together--needed to wail on them with a rubber mallet--perhaps they were painted too thickly in some spots. I actually sanded some paint off on the vertical center supporting tube in the middle of the goal to make it easier to separate and fold for storage. Also, be sure to align the side puck-stopper panel inside tubes properly before fitting them together (with the hole for the connecting bolt directly facing the goal) as the tubes are very difficult to separate once they are together. They are meant to "adjust" by slightly varying how far one tube is inserted in the other but this could only be done by with some difficulty (and rubber mallet). Having said all that, the quality of all of the materials is very good and clearly a lot of thought went into the design. Once fully assembled, the goal can be folded in and the entire thing can be carried a moderate distance by picking it up by the crossbar--60 lbs. but I think most adults could carry it on their own. It leans nicely against the side of our house on the back porch so I can fairly easily move it there when there's weather. And once folded it's flat so it doesn't take up much space at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Practice Net For My Son I purchased this net to help my son's game and it definitely helps him hit the corners + it saves my basement walls from shots because of the backstop. Pretty happy with the quality. Saw an independent review on youtube that shows hard adult slapshots can make holes in the net--a trick to help this is to try not to make the backstop nets too taut (I believe). I definitely recommend doing a parts inventory before putting it all together--we found that we got an extra frame piece but were missing another frame piece. We sent a pic to customer support and it was handled fairly quickly (had to call too, seems like a small company), so that was appreciated and good thing to report. It takes some time to put together and weave the net--the instructions were good (read them). Definitely worth the $150.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great practice net !! Love the surround net .love the target pockets .. The netting is top notch ..Folds up nice as well.. The only problem is ... You will destroy the net and dent the pipes with a slap shot .. I dented the pipe with a wrist shot with a plastic puck ..So using a real puck is not advised ..You will dent the pipe .. But for the cost .. its better than a $800 goal ..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this practice net! Bought this practice net for son for his birthday. So far we have been very happy with the quality of construction and materials. It was also very easy to assemble. If you are looking to have a nice net for practice and don't want to spend all your time chasing down the wide shots, this is your net.

PRODUCT Q & A

How durable are the pipes and net?

I want to get this net and sides for my son to help him with his game but I want to be sure he won't be able to dent the pipes or ruin the net with his wrist or slap shot. What type of puck should he use on this product?
Asked by: Hkydad19
If he wants to get better at shooting, use an ice puck so that way when he gets on the ice he uses the same type of puck in games.

Asked by: Heipfam
I would not classify it as an easy breakdown/set up net but it can be transferred to and from places with no real issues.

Yes. Or more accurately, you could just not put them in--they are separate from the main goal & net.
