PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Bauer Re-Akt Titanium Facemask will not weigh down your helmet thanks to its lightweight construction.  The patented oval wire allows for improved visual areas as well.

Keeping the Re-Akt Facemask clean is just as simple as strapping it to your helmet.  The chin cup is lined with Microban antibacterial protection and is also treated with Poron XRD.  This will help keep odor away and mildew will not cover your chin cup.

The chin cup is also free-floating and triple density, which will come in handy in situations that call for  your head to be on a swivel.  Calling for a pass from a streaking teammate has never felt so comfortable.

RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Returned one for this... I originally bought the 5100 for my Bauer IMS 9.0 helmet. My helmet is a Medium, so I bought a Medium cage. I don't know if I have a long face (never thought I did), but it was close to an inch short to my chin. I returned it and ended up buying the Re-akt size Large. The first thing I notice is how incredibly light this cage is. I was amazed. I also like the surface of it as it's not reflective and distracting while wearing it. The guys at the shop attached the cage for me and it fit fine. Being that I had a size L cage and size M helmet, I do have to push in the sides a little to get hooked into the J-bars, but it's no problem at all. Yes... this cage is close to twice the price of others, but after seeing the difference in weight, I was sold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super light cage! Just purchased this cage last night and put it on my Warrior Krown 360 helmet. I was planning to buy the Reebok 11K cage, but after I picked up this Re-AKT cage, I changed my mind IMMEDIATEY. I put back the Reebok 11K and paid for this Re-AKT cage. This cage is light as it should be, Titanium material. It weight is about holding 10~15 pieces of plain paper in your hand. VERY LIGHT. The only thing I need to put as "WARRNING" is the width of this cage. For people who have wider circumference of head like me. I am wearing KROWN 360 size XL helmet and I HAVE TO loose it all the way to the widest space. When I put on the helmet on my head, this cage actually has hard time to fully close to the place of the stopper. The chin cup is about 2 inches far from my chin...... Anyway, rather than having a cage that fits my helmet but too heavy, I prefer to keep this super light cage. About the vision field through the cage, I will say there is no difference from the Reebok 11K. Both are designed to increase vision field, by using oval metal bar (Re-AKT) or flat metal bar (11K). I will try its field performance on this coming Sunday, the first game of Summer season. One additional note for the readers is that I recommend you DO prepare one cage in hand. You will need a cage when playing during Spring and Summer time, to alow the sweat that is running on your face and forhead be air dried. If you keep on using a shield, it just blocks the air flow path. I just experience that through the whole Spring season game, so I finally made a decision to change my Oakley face shield combo to this cage.

What size cage do you recommend for a Bauer 9.0 size Small?

Asked by: Anonymous
The recommended size would be the same size as the helmet. However, you should be able to go up/down 1 size per your individual cage length needs.

Does this cage come with the attachment fittings for Bauer Helmuts?

I just bought a Bauer 5100 helmut without the cage + this nifty titanium cage. But I don't see any mention of fittings that come with the helmut or the cage.

You will want to match the cage size with the size of the helmet. We would recommend the Bauer Reakt cage with a Bauer Reakt helmet.

What size of re-akt cage would fit the Easton S13 helmet sized S?

Asked by: Vera
I think that is more of a person thing that a compatibility thing. I have a Bauer IMS 9.0 helmet. I originally bought a size M cage, but had to return and get a Large. I will say that when you put a size bigger on the cage, it is also a tad wider, so I have to squeeze the cage in to get into the hooks, but not much. Fits perfectly. I would think that you'd either match you S helmet with a small or medium depend on the length of your face.

Is the chin cup removable?

Asked by: Bighoss
I will say "NO". Though it whould be removeable, but the strip/belt that is securing the chin cup on the cage is not openable. Making this chin cup pretty much not removable, unless you cut the belt/strip.
