Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing so far I can't comment as to long term usage, but after playing in a new pair of 18k's 3 times a week for 3 weeks straight, I can say I'm amazed. These are the most comfortable, form fitting skates I've ever owned. No break in time required, comfortable and firm on first skate out of the box (unbaked). I would absolutely recommend these, especially since you can get a $600.00+ skate for cheap now that the newer models are out and holiday sales are going on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Buy! Great fit out of the box but when you bake them, they fit like a glove. No break in time at all. First skate was perfect. It is stiff but still flexible enough for more traditional skaters. High quality materials and I love the full pro felt tongue. Great value. A great deal for a high end skate, not worth the extra money for the 20K. The stock footbeds really need to be replaced and the laces are the greatest but the boot is solid and well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Skates! I bought these a few weeks ago after deciding that my Bauer Vapors were too worn out to continue using. I originally went to total hockey to look at getting the Easton EQ-50's. After trying on the Easton's I just wasn't happy with how they felt, so I decided to try the 18k. Instantly I loved how comfortable they felt, they were nice and wide, which was great because I have a wide foot. After playing a few games with them I can easily say they are the lightest skates I have skated in, which has really helped with my acceleration. The nice thing about these skates was after baking them they felt as if they were ready to go on the ice, which they were. I had no foot aches or problems with break in right away. After buying the 18k, I think I will be sticking with Reebok Skates for a long time.

What's the difference between 16K and 20K?

Asked by: Anonymous
The stiffness is the first major difference. The 20K is pro level stiffness and the 16K is a decidedly mid-level skate. The tendon guard is cheap and flimsy on the 16K and the quarter would be much less durable. It all depends on how often you are skating and how big you are. If you're only skating once a week in a rec league, then go with the 16K. If you are playing competitively 3-4 times a week, you really should go with the 18K or 20K.
