RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Returned Original Purchase and Got These I returned some Vapor X 5.0s because I wasn't thrilled with the fit, the weight, the protection, and value. I tried on a number of pairs at the local shop and went with these. They are on sale too, so there's an added bonus. These were a ton lighter, fit arms better, maintained the low profile I wanted, and gave better chest protection. I originally went Bauer with all my gear after getting back into the game, but ended up returning everything and buying CCMs. Felt that it was better value. For $25 more than my original purchase, I feel that I got my money's worth.

Differences between "CS" and "CL" sholder pads?

What are main differences between the CCM U+ "CS" and "CL" shoulder pads?
Asked by: Anonymous
I tried on both pairs yesterday. They fit exactly the same. They look nearly identical. The CLs are simply lighter because of the material. I will say that both of these are quite light, so you won't feel that the CSs are heavy. I returned a different pair of shoulders I bought to get these. I was going to buy the CLs, but my BreakAway points hadn't credited yet, so I stayed with the CSs to save money. They are on sale right now, so the value is great.

sternum plate

Is the sternum plate in the crazy strong the same as in the crazy lite ? I had broken sternum 2 yrs ago and am back playing but need max protection...which one do I need ?
Asked by: Anonymous
It's VERY similar. The Crazy Light is simply that... lighter. They fit exactly the same. I tried on both pairs yesterday and was going to buy the CLs, but my BreakAway points weren't credited to my account yet, so I went with the Strongs to save a little cash. I returned a pair of Bauers for these because of chest protection and the way they fit my arms. Both these and the Lights have great chest protection and I think you'll be happy with these. Yes... there is a small weight difference, but they are both light. When I talked to the guys at the shop, they said that the protection these offer vs the Lights are the same... just that the Lights use more expensive and lighter material.

Is this a well-ventilated shoulder pad?

Will this absorb sweat or vent out and wick away?
Asked by: Anonymous
Extremely well-ventilated. This is one of our highest end shoulder pads and CCM did it right. Absorbs and wicks away the sweat to keep the pad light and mobile.
