The Bauer Supreme TotalOne NXG Ice Skates continue a rich tradition of performance innovation and arrive with high anticipation.  With the TotalOne NXGs, you'll find improvements in fit, flexibility and overall performance.
New to the NXG is an improved upper-composite material that more closely resembles the human ankle. Termed Curv®, the anatomically correct composite shell and insole can be heated up to mold completely to your ankle and heel and provide a full 3600 of moldability. The benefits are twofold: More comfort and better performance. By fitting your exact ankle, you have a custom fit that eliminates dead space and will move with you throughout the skating motion.
Greater skating flexibility is achieved in the NXG with a patented tendon guard that provides improved range of motion while lowering overall weight. The tendon guard flexes fore and aft with authority and snaps back into place with each stride. The design allows for a five-degree improvement in range of motion versus last year’s model and gives you a feeling of greater agility on the ice.
The same composite Curv® material found in the boot is also found in the tongue in the form of composite inserts. Included with three different flexes, these inserts allow you to customize the amount of flex in the tongue and are designed to flex forward as you stride. The insert responds and springs your foot back, ready for your next stride.
Putting it all to the ice is a combination of technologies all working in harmony. From the boot down, you’ll find a composite outsole that shifts more energy to the ice. The Tuuk LS2 Holder is a tried and true warrior with an aggressive stance. Rounding it out is the LS Fusion Runner that combines stainless steel with high-grade aluminum to yield a full 27-percent weight savings versus standard runners.
In the final analysis, the Supreme TotalOne NXGs are a top-of-the-line skate infused with innovations designed to make your game better. Bauer has taken a successful design in the existing TotalOne and added a full serving of engineering prowess to give you one of the best skates you can find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great skate for wide feet I have a wide foot and found it difficult to find good quality skates that fit well. These skates fit the bill although the price sent me to the floor. The boot is very stiff so it may cause some discomfort until you skate in them for awhile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stiff These are the lightest skates I've personally picked up and I sharpen skates (picking up nearly every skate that ends up on the ice) and drive an Olympia to pay the bills. I baked these beauties three times because after the first two times in the skate oven I still had terrible lace bite on the top of my foot. Turns out the flex tongue (garbage, don't use it) was the source of my pain. I took out the tongue piece and all my discomfort was alleviated, the skates feel stiff and responsive but also have that race car minimalist comfort. The short tongue fits really well in my shin guards and the total edge comfort isn't a gimmick like the flex tongue. Buy these on sale because no skate is worth dropping $850 but on a good sale these are worth the dough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pair of skates on the market These skates have the best feel on the market. They are extremely light and comfortable. The broke in within 3 times skating on them. Ive had them for over a year and play 4 times a week and they are holding up great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid pair of skates Skate fits like a glove after only a few skates, unfortunately they break down after a year or so of being on the ice 4-5 nights a week. However the performance of this skate is phenomenal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best skates out there! I had a pair of Bauer Total One Supremes and they were awesome. I bought a pair of Total One NXGs and I love the improvements that Bauer made. Somehow... they are even lighter than the Supremes. I like the improvements that they made to the liner, the eyelets, and tongues. I ended up getting a 2nd pair to replace the Supremes. So I use one pair for officiating with the mid stiff tongue inserts and I use the other pair for playing with the regular stiff tongue inserts. I have yet to try the extra stiff tongue inserts. Some people may question my sanity for spending $1600 on 2 pairs of skates. But I am on the ice a lot between officiating and playing and I have to be comfortable. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I NEVER skimp on hockey equipment. You won't be disappointed with these skates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Supremely Light on Ice I LOVE this Skate! I used to sport the old TotalONE skates and these have impressed! Just as light as the previous model I am impressed with the 3 different flex tongue inserts. I'll use a stiffer insert for games to give that support and use the more flexible ones for anything else. The 799$ price tag is high but hey its the same price everywhere and for the same price as the older model? Much better deal!

has anyone ever been able to find replacement tongues for bauer total one nxg!

Asked by: marcs64
We do not have replacement tongues available, unfortunately. Many people turn to local hockey repair businesses to have tongues rebuilt or replaced.

Can you break these in by your home oven?

Asked by: Heipfam
I always advise that if you are near a local pro shop or Hockey store take them in there for the baking process. But if you are going to do them at home you heat the oven to 180 degrees Fahrenheit and turn off the oven once it reaches that temperature. Next, ensure that the laces are loose on the skates and place the skates in the oven on a baking sheet. The typical amount of time this takes is 8-10 minutes. Put the skates on, tying them as tight as possible sitting up right in a chair for roughly 10 minutes.

Is this skate as hard as the APX or no?

Asked by: Anonymous
Very similar but does offer some differences. The APX's use Alive composite with a X-Rib pattern design on the boot, while the NXG's use CURV/ swurve pattern of composite on its boot. Both boots have similar stiffness and will take an equal amount of time to break in.

Are the Bauer sizing remains the same?

I am wearing Nike Bauer One90 7.5D, shall I look for the same size on this latest model, even the Nike no longer owning the Bauer?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, you would still want 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than your US shoe size.
