Just when you thought that skates couldn't get any better than the 2011 CA9s, Alkali releases the CA9 RPD Inline Skates. Time for an upgrade.
The 2011 CA9 featured a durable boot that featured Lithium Science, ensuring each component worked together to give you a maximum power transfer on each stride. Alkali has taken this technology and added to the protection, while minimizing the weight, using EPP Foam and Surlyn in key areas. This helps the skate respond to your movement faster while also making it extremely heat moldable. Alkali also extended the "L" bars in the ankle pads, increasing ankle lock and virtually eliminating heel lift. The memory foam ankle pads assist in this as well.
The back of the skate is protected with the carbon fiber reinforced tendon guard. This is a tough material that will keep its shape, even after the hardest of shots dings off of it. Going along with the rest of the skates, the tendon guard does remain flexible for your foot, though, letting you have a strong push-off when flying down the rink.
The CA9 RPDs include an Antibacterial Microfiber liner, which wicks away moisture and kills bacteria to prevent bad odors. The tongue is constructed using 9mm Pro Spec material, giving you lasting protection. The tongue is even longer than what you may be used to so that you may keep your entire leg protection, even below the shin guard.
The CA9 RPD Skates are stocked with Labeda Addiction XXX Grip Wheels and Swiss Elite 608 sized bearings. The chassis is made from Magnesium Alloy which is lightweight and even adds to the strength of the skates.
