PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Just a step below the 8000s but certainly without a step lost is the Nexus 7000 Ice Skates by Bauer. Providing top-of-the-line features for top-of-the-line players, the 7000’s are dressed to impress.

The Nexus 7000s are built with an Ultra Lightweight Tech Mesh with integrated Speed Flex channels for lightweight comfort and maximum speed through every stride.

Unique to the Nexus 7000 is the Classic ultra-thick pro-felt tongue. This ultra-thick, three-piece felt tongue has a molded metatarsal guard that provides maximum comfort and protection from lace bite and those random pucks you might take.

On the inside, the 7000s rep a Hydra-Max Liner, a moisture-wicking and abrasion-resistant liner with integrated comfort wrap so that your feet are still happy even after hours of play.

Putting it all to the ice is the TUUK Lightspeed Edge holder, which is time tested, reliable, and takes full responsibility for connecting you to the ice with pride. Rounding out the TUUK is the LS2 Edge Steel Runners, which have a nine foot radius, making you more mobile and agile at all points of the game. With adjusted height for consistency, the LS2 Edge features improved hardware.

RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Skates I've always purchased Bauer skates and I was in need of a new pair. I couldn't have made a better decision. The 7000s are light and very comfortable. I tried the Vapor's but they were far too narrow. They are a little on the higher end for price but the quality and weight make up for that. After reffing 4~6 games in a single day light skates that can hold up are everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT SKATES We purchased the Bauer Nexus 7000 skates for our son at your Quakertown store. Kelsey helped us and was fantastic. Best skate buying experience we ever had.

PRODUCT Q & A

What are the major differences from the 8000 to the 7000?

What do you get for the approx. $150 difference between the 8000 and the 7000 skate? Also in terms of boot stiffness is there a noticeable difference?
Asked by: Mick1845
The 8000 will have a stiffer boot than the 7000. This is not to say that the 7000 does not have a stiff boot, as it does, but that it does not have the pro-level stiffness of the 8000. The liner on the 8000 is an upgraded Hydra Max with abrasion protection in high stress areas. The steel on the 8000 is the LS Fusion, which is a lighter blend of steel/aluminum. The 7000 uses the LS3 stainless runner. Overall, you'll see a slight weight difference, as the 8000 is lighter. But, both skates are great and able to perform at any level!
