PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Sometimes you may wonder here's this high-priced stick and high-priced skate with the same name. Is it possible to integrate the stick's similar technology into the skate? With the RIBCOR Ice Skates by Reebok, yes it is absolutely possible. Get the same pop that you get in your shots right in your strides.

Every upgrade we've seen by Reebok in past years has been simple cosmetic lifts and quiet technology changes. This year is something entirely different, ultimately producing unprecedented looks, features, technology, and most of all speed. Exactly what NHL players ordered for Pro level performance.

The outside starts with a redesigned all black boot with lime green RIBCOR and Reebok logos, the perfect accents to make this boot look secretly dangerous. Hidden in the boot construction is RIBCOR Pro, an enhanced Pro Ribbed reinforcement that provides superior agility, support, and harnesses your flexion for maximum power in your stride, exactly as the RIBCOR stick harnesses your flex for a serious shot.

The infamous Pump continues with it's unmatched quality of providing Pro level customizable comfort and performance, it's the one technology that over the years has not become obsolete. Adding to the Pro Level comfort and performance are the EPP foam for lightweight thermoformable core, Dual Zone with Clarino liner for a dry foot all game, Griptonite footbed that allows your foot to stay put for game long activation of the RIBCOR technology, and lastly the Pro Felt & EPE Foam tongue for anatomical fit and max protection from pucks and sticks.

Weighing in at only 850 grams the RIBCOR would like to thank the Vented Lightweight Carbon Composite Outsole that creates a lightweight low profile vented bottom that minimizes mass, maximizes energy transfer, and delivers a reactive feel throughout every stride.

Rounding out the high class RIBCOR are the SpeedBlade 4.0 Holder and SpeedBlade Black Runner. The 4.0 holder not only brings back the traditional holder in a revolutionary design, but ultimately increases the attack angle providing greater strides, increased turning radius for your straight-away and cornering pleasure. SpeedBlade Black adds to the already intense profile look of the RIBCOR but even more importantly this runner is treated for longer edge life, and is resistant to corrosion.

So to whomever said integrating stick technology into a skate couldn't be done...MYTH - BUSTED! The RIBCOR is the ultimate skating machine providing comfort, mobility, flexibility, and power. The pop in your shot is now your stride.

RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and features If you have a slightly wider front fit, I have found no better fit in skates than Reeboks. The Ribcor line has all the tech you want in a skate and they held up through an entire season of skating 10-15 hrs+ a week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Skates!!! Stopped in the Total Hockey in Glenview, IL and picked these up a few weeks back. I have a narrow foot and always played with Bauer Vapors, until now. I was getting a really bad pinch and bump on the back of my heals (They call it a Bauer Bump), so it was time for a change. I was fitted properly by a great Sales Associate named Chris and have played 3 times in these. I feel like my feet are surrounded by a bunch of pillows, they are so comfortable! No more pain and even more speed on the ice, with very little break in period. The Ribcore skates do lean forward a bit and they are higher at 4.0 mm, so my turning radius has also improved when leaning into those tight turns. If you need a narrower skate and currently play in Bauer skates and have the same problem I had, these skates make a world of difference and you will not be disappointed!!

PRODUCT Q & A

currently wear a rbk 18k pump, 7d....would like a bit narrower heel...tried the jetspeeds...my mid foot bump out wont work,,,so back to rbk....how will these fit compared to the 18ks Im currently on? what is the fit difference between these and the 50k's?

Asked by: sidewinder
The fit of this skate will be very similar to that of the 18K. In comparison to the CCM 50K, it will have a bit wider of a fit overall. You would notice the 50Ks being a little more shallow and narrow in the heel.

What's the size fitting diiference?

I own two pairs of bauer supreme skates and I love them. My skate size is an 8.5 D. I'm at that stage where I want to branch out to a different skate to try something new and I was looking at the Reebok Ribcor skates. So my question is, since the reebok skates are a tad bit wider should I stay with the 8.5 D or go down half the size to an 8.0 D for it to feel similar to my bauer supreme skates?
Asked by: csmith
Many people do get Reebok/CCM skates about 1/2 size smaller than they would a Bauer skate. I would recommend starting there, though the finer fitting details will come down to personal preference.

What is the fit difference between these skates and Bauer Vapors?

I am currently using the Bauer Vapor X7.0 skates and I am considering buying the Reebok Ribcors. I am not sure what the size difference is between Bauer and Reebok and the profile of the sole(tapered/anatomical).
Asked by: DanDaves
The Ribcor line will be a wider fit than the Vapor. As far as sizing, you might try a half size smaller than what you would try in Bauer. However, this is only an estimate and every skate should be tried on to make sure it is sized correctly to the foot.

How big is the difference between the RIBCORE skate and the RBZ skate?

Asked by: Heipfam
The RBZ, to me,has some higher quality materials and the fit is more "natural" then the Ribcore's. The RBZ's boot is a little stiffer adding to the break in time but once they are form fitted they are extremely comfortable and durable.
