Proper Fitting
Goalie pants are different from player pants in that they offer a thicker, more substantial protection in the "puck facing" areas (thigh, groin, waist), and they are wider than player pants to help cover more of the net. They work in tandem with both the goalie's chest & arm protector and leg pads, and proper fit is determined by wearing the three pads simultaneously to make sure that one pad does not hinder the movement of another.
The chest & arm protector can be worn either on the outside or inside of the goalie pants.
Goalies who prefer to wear the chest & arms on the OUTSIDE of their pants should consider purchasing pants with a tapered fit at the waist. The tapered fit will sit comfortably against the player's body, which will allow the chest and arm pad to fit comfortably over the top. Use the sizing chart listed on the product website to help determine the proper size.

|
Goalies who prefer to wear the chest & arms on the INSIDE of their pants should consider one of the following options:
-
Select pants with a wider, "barrel fit" to allow the chest and arm to easily be tucked inside.
-
Select pants that are one size "too big" to accommodate the extra belly space necessary to tuck the belly padding in.
-
In either case, suspenders must be worn to keep the pants up.

Sizing Guide
As a starting point, 8-10 inches should be added to the goalie's waist size to help determine goalie pant size. However, factors such as height, build and skill level make a difference in determining which pants to choose. Since there are many factors in determining the right goalie pant size, we recommend that you consult our customer service team for help in making the proper choice.
