American Development Model
ADM is a nationwide model supported by the NHL for successfully developing American hockey players. The methodology considers the opportunity for youth programs to increase the number of boys and girls playing hockey by ensuring every child has the same chance to succeed. It is a set of guidelines specifically designed to help kids reach their full potential. Through associations’ implementation of ADM, kids learn to play the game by having fun with age appropriate skills and training. Over time and in the proper environment, kids will develop and mature in skill and desire, further refining their physical and mental outlook with the focus toward eventually mastering the game. As an Official Sponsor of The American Development Model, Total Hockey supports the goals of ADM which ultimately encourage boys and girls to play, love and excel at hockey.
