Can I make a broken 1 piece into a 2 piece?

I have a broken apx2 int. shaft that has a broken blade could I cut off the broken blade and put on a replacement blade?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is possible to do this, though not really advised as the feel and durability can suffer greatly.

Will this fit an Easton SE16 shaft (the opening is smaller/tapered, than a normal shaft)

Asked by: Heipfam
No it won't. The Easton Synergy SE16 is a tapered shaft so it's only compatible with tapered blades. The Easton Mako II replacement blade is what you need because it's a tapered blade, unlike the Mako M5 II blade.

Can I convert a one-piece with a broken blade into a two-piece?

I have a CCM u+06 and an old Sher-Wood Rm-7, both with broken blades. Can I cut the blades off and replace them with a wood or composite blade and maintain durability and playability on the ice?
Asked by: Heipfam
I am not saying it can not be done but it is highly NOT recommended. The stick will just not have the integrity and durability as it would be with a one piece. I would imagine it would break almost instantly with the combo you have suggested.
